My name's Rob. I've been a .Net Developer and Architect for over 2 decades.

Over those years, I've made lots and lots of mistakes, and luckily, I've been able to take some lessons from those missteps. My goal with ThatDeveloperDad is to share the lessons I've learned, in hopes that you can also learn from my mistakes without having to make them yourself.

Here's My current tech stack & setup

• Hardware: Macbook Air M2 w/ 8GB RAM (Yes, I've actually run an instance of Phi-3-mini on this thing and had it work.)
• Software: VS Code with the C# Devkit extension.
• Code Completion extension: Codeium - free equivalent to GitHub Copilot.
• Website framework: AstroJS
• Website Hosting: Azure Static Website. I'm using the Free tier, and the free tier of Azure Static Websites allows me to connect a custom domain to it.
